Rec Soccer

Marion Soccer Inc is committed to providing a safe and fun environment for children to play the game of soccer.  Rec soccer is held both in the Spring and Fall and open to kids from grades Pre-K through 8th Grade.  Registration for each of these seasons are held approximately 2 months prior to the start of the season.  Barring weather – which is always a concern in the Spring, practices for each season starts approximately the middle March and the beginning of September respectively. Following the Rec Seasons, eligible players have the opportunity to play on a team of their same age group in All Star Tournaments throughout the region. 

All Rec games are played at the Marion Soccer complex which located on the west side of Marion, IL. This complex is comprised of more than eight Grade/U-friendly, and appropriately sized pitches. 

For players in the 7th and 8th grade, they will be part of a program called SIMSS (Southern Illinois Middle School Soccer).  The Marion SIMSS program, while part of the Marion Soccer Inc Rec program, is comprised of groups that practice as a team, and compete with teams from other JR. High SIMSS soccer programs from around the area.  The goal of this program is to prepare players for High School level play in a positive, instructional environment.
